GROUPS

This is not an exhaustive list and it changes from time to time depending on the interest level. We are always open to suggestions for new groups if you would like to set one up.

Visual Art - The Visual Art Group meet once a month to share images that are probably a little outside the landscape, portrait and still life remit. A small friendly group led by Eve Mathews who sets a project each month and we meet at the Coaver Club to compare and discuss images. In the last year we have had subjects such as - 12 images in one room in your house - Lympstone at a set time - Images in the style of famous artists etc. Photoshop features quite a lot, even though some of our number cannot remember what they did! RPS Group - Led By John Sanders we have a group of people working towards their RPS Distinctions. This group is kept to a fairly small number in order to give the time and attention required to each member. They meet at the Cardinal Newman Centre on a monthly basis. However, as our members gain their distinctions places become available on this group, which is extremely popular. Black and White Group - Led by Russ Whelan and Sandra Barrett, looking at all things monochrome. They meet monthly at the Cardinal Newman Centre and if you should require further information please contact Russ by emailing here or Sandra by clicking here.

KISS Group - From time to time we run a Keep It Simple Group for beginners. There is a group running at the present time but this will be the last one until further notice.

New Members Group - Run by Di Wilkins, Fran Taylor and Maggie Hartnall. This group has been set up to help new members get to know each other and for us to find out what their aims and aspirations are. It will be run on a monthly basis for a 6 month period, when it will be reviewed. The first meeting is Tuesday 18th October at 7.30 at the Cardinal Newman Centre. Summer Thursday Group - Sally Ewin and Peter Hendy arrange meetings at places of interest on Thursday nights during the summer break - usually near a drinking hole!
