Winner of the Landscape section of the Printed Image Competition 2009. The sand dunes looked promising during an afternoon visit, and so I returned at dawn, when the light was just right, and used a 10mm lens to make the ripples in the sand look more impressive and to provide a strong lead in to the top left of the image. The image was manipulated in Photoshop to give an even greater dramatic effect, making it perhaps a little unreal, but does that really matter!
