Welcome
Our Annual Digital Image took place on Thursday to a nearly packed house. The image shown here was the overall winner - Bude Pool Sunset by David Snowden - congratulations! All the winning images and those that were Highly Commended can be seen in the gallery under the 2010 Digital Image tab. Our thanks go to all those who took part and we look forward to seeing what you can produce for next year.
We hope our visit to Dawlish Camera Club last Wednesday went as well for them as we think it did for us! Their Chairman did say that they usually get one speaker an evening, not the 6 they had last night. Thank you to Russ, Sandra, Vanessa, Colin, John and Fran for their contribution. It all made up a superbly varied evening of AVs, digital images and prints. They have offered to return the favour in the near future and we look forward to it. Thank you to them for their hospitality on what proved to be a very enjoyable evening.
The coming year, in which we mark the 120th anniversary of our Club, promises to be another period of exciting activity, with two particular events of note, being our Members' involvement this summer in the Exeter Health Care Photographic project 'Devon As I See It", and the anticipated visit of a group from the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists during July, for a joint exhibition to be launched at the Exeter Guildhall.
We are a group of active and friendly photographers whose main aim is to improve our own knowledge of picture taking through the enjoyment of the company of other like-minded people.
The Club holds a number of photographic activities throughout the year, including weekly meetings at the Cardinal Newman Centre, Wonford Road, Exeter EX2 4PF each Thursday evening between September and June, plus a range of photographic workshops and ‘field trips’ locally and abroad.
Whether you are an absolute beginner or an accomplished photographer our Club will always give you a warm welcome.
THE IMAGE NORMALLY ON THIS PAGE WOULD BE THE 'IMAGE OF THE MONTH' AS VOTED FOR BY MEMBERS ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. Apologies to John Perriam for being short-changed this month. If you are a Club member and would like access to our Facebook page contact Fran by clicking here
