Devon As I See It - Our Favourite Places

An ambitious community photography project which will give pleasure to patients, visitors and staff at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital has secured Big Lottery Fund grant support.

Jointly sponsored by Exeter Health Care Arts; Focal Point Imaging; Exeter Camera Club; and 2D

Exeter HealthCare Arts (EHCA) have successfully bid for support from Big Lottery Fund 'Awards for All" fund for a new initiative in 2010 where Devon people will be contributing digital photographic images of places significant to them. These images, which may for example, be a favourite view or place, will delight and intrigue when they are on display in a unique series of installations at the Royal devon and Exeter Wonford Hospital.

Images that show the Devon landscape, our moors, woods and farmlands and pictures of our wonderful rivers and coastline are welcomes. The built environment, places where we live and visit are always of interest, from village, town to city scenes. Civic places and places of worship can also feature. Images featuring or giving recognisable focus to people, especially children, are not encouraged.

We invite members of Exeter Camera Club to play a pivotal role in the project by submitting their own images to the scheme and by helping and encouraging members of the public to produce images of places and scenes special to them.
